Johanna Beth Burton is an American art historian, critic, and curator who has been the director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles since 2021, and director of the Wexner Center for the Arts at Ohio State University from 2018 to 2021. Burton will become director of ICA Philadelphia in late 2025.

The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA), founded in 1979, is the only artist-founded museum in Los Angeles, dedicated to collecting, preserving, and presenting contemporary art created after 1940.
